A subset of materials I have produced in my projects, both in my current role and simply interest.
Math Learning Unit (Rise360)
This is math instructional unit for secondary students in Integrated Math 1. The source materials for the problem sets and instruction come from Open Up Resources, an open-source curriculum. The videos in the unit were created by me, as is the organization of the material into Rise.
Outcome: This unit is in use by students, ages 14-17, currently with positive feedback per survey and learning success as measured by test grades. This is website hosted as this school has no LMS.
Accessibility Presentation (Rise360)
This is a course assignment, a presentation on types of disability, related legislation guidelines for adult learners, and overview of use of UDL. This was an independent rather than collaborative product, where I told the role of SME as well as designer. I utilized Rise 360 to create materials.
Outcome: This presentation was utilized in my EdTech role for staff in a DEI focus group. This is hosted on a website, so demonstrates Rise 360 use in an organization without an LMS.
Virtual Gallery (Artsteps)
Virtual showcase of our school created in Artsteps, for audience of current and prospective parents, to portray what a student in our program will have access to. This artifact I had the role of sole designer, including photographs showed in the virtual gallery. It remains a work in progress and is being updated regularly to remain current.
Outcome: Since this creation, Artsteps is being incorporated into our art classes and taught to our students (by me) for their own use in showcase their art portfolios to colleges and prospective buyers.
Gamified Math Learning (Blooket)
Engaging students in practice of recall and recognition of math facts can challenging, but gamification can help. This is fluency practice for my adolescent learners (ages 12-17) utilizing the Blooket platform. This is one example out of many games I have created for my classroom use.
Outcome: Student engagement high and increased test scores with consistent use of this style of learning factual information.
Microlearning module (7Taps)
Microlearning module created in 7Taps for parent population of a school to quickly learn how to upload student work samples to their teacher of record via an iPhone. I created all materials for this module, and assembled them using the 7Taps software.
Outcome: This training has been well received by our parents utilizing it per feedback, and is successful as determined by more consistent upload of samples from parents in the required manner and format.
